Diane was born in the Western Eye sept north of San Fransisco. Her mother was a homid Child of Gaia. Thus she was brought into that tribe of Garou from her earliest moments. Diane met her father, a lupus Silent Strider, only twice that she can remember, before his wanderings led him to completely vanish. No one knows if he is still alive much less where he is.

Around age 13, Diane left her home caern and wandered awhile accompanying a traveling pack of Garou who had visited Western Eye. She found a new home and settled down in Winston-Salem, NC, for a while with a pack of city Garou, who encouraged her to get a GED and go to college. Diane studied art in a university for two years before taking off again, this time responding to a call from Gaia. She pursued her muse into the Umbra and back again, finally finding herself in Entropy, the caern of the Garou of the Ronin pack.
