'What say you of my garden, my pet?' I asked him. He winced at my words. 'The garden is how it is every other day, Mistress Eden. How elce would it be?' I raised an eyebrow to his words. 'I should think you would take notice of my garden, my pet.' I lifted a hand out towards the quiet grass. 'Do you not see? Where there once was nothing, there now is a tree.' He looked up slightly from the grass at his feet. 'Yes, Mistress Eden. I see it now. It is only a tree, and that is all I can make of it.' 'You have no idea, do you, my pet?' His head shook slightly as he looked down to the grass at his feet again. 'This tree is part of your lessons. It resembles life, and how i can so easily controll it. You are life, and i controll you.' 'Yes Mistress Eden. You say jump, I say how high.' 'Do not interrupt me, my pet, or you will regret it greatly. And you know of what is in my power.' I looked to the tree, where sat a small boy; the boy i had told to sit in that place. 'Come, young pet.' The boy rose at my call, and came to me. 'Yes, Mistress Eden.' 'You are a lesson. Pay attention, my pet.' I held a hand to the small boys shoulder. He coughed, blood frothing from his mouth, then fell silently to the grass. 'That was a lesson. Now, my pet. Be gone.'
