Dee stepped up to Jerry, excusing them into some privacy. "I couldn't reach Claudius. He wasn't home and I couldn't go search the city for him."
Jerry shook his head and looked around. "I asked Millie about it and she was supposed to meet us out here. I wasn't expecting all of this," He waved a hand toward the gathered Brujah milling about the lake bank.
"Shit." Dee looked around. "I didn't even realize Millie could do it or I'd have thought of her first. She'll freak when she sees all these guys."
"Yeah, what's the deal with having everybody here anyway?" Jerry looked a little nervous, as if wondering just how big his problems were.
"Alic." Dee explained simply. "I decided your problems linked pretty well with what his represent and decided to deal with it all at once. I hope he doesn't chicken out and decide not to come and face the music now."
Jerry nodded and Dee looked toward the line of trees near the parking lot. "One of us better go up there to wait for her. I've got the stuff in my saddlebags, so I guess I'll go, at least till Alic gets here."
Without waiting for a response, Dee trudged off up the hill glad for a little time to be alone with her thoughts.
