Like sands through the hourglass......

From: Johnny

Johnny's footfalls were more quiet on this eve as he walked down the quiet streets of Dallas, after leaving the Church. His jacket blew loosely in the wind as his arms gently swayed by his side. Reaching up slowly, he tucks his flowing hair gently behind his ears, letting out a subdued sigh.

"Why would anyone befriend an ass like that? ....Interputing a conversation that didn't envolve him." Johnny's mind ran feverant with emotion, bringing back recent memories...

The sun had set, yet the heat was sweltering like a boileroom. Johnny rose from his slumber deep within the earth, a spray of dust and dirt flying out of his pours. He looked into the distance, gazing upon a small Mexican village. " Wonderful..." he thought. "I'll have to go through, just to feed."

He moved quickly and as silently as he could though the poorly lit streets, his boots hardly making a sound. As he slipped from corner to corner, trying to avoid the direct light of what little streetlamps there were, he kept his eyes roaming, ever alert to the danger that was Mexico. He slipped into a darkened alley with a slight sigh of relief, falling on a helpless drunkerd laying on a box to gain his strength and quiet the Beast within. As he stood slowly from the still, breathing man, and wiped his blooded lips, chuckling cought his ears. He turned slowly, facing three shadowy figures down the alley. "Well, lookie 'ere" one said in broken English. Johnny sighed and shook his head. "Fuck.." he thought. "Sabbot.." With a whirl of his jacket, Johnny's feet beat hard and fast against the cobblestones as he fled from his three Shovelhead pursuers.

He gained a slight lead, firing back at them with his two small pistols, each finding their mark to no avail. One tray bullet caught the smaller Sabbat on the bridge of nose, causing him to be blinded and fall. Johnny laughed, "Two to go, you fuckers." He ducked into yet another alley, reloading quickly, then levling his pistols to the mouth of the alley, waiting..waiting...

In a feating moment, shots rang out. Johnny emptied both clips into the first Sabbot, the bullets ripping at his clothing and flesh. Johnny quickly holstered his weapons, and raised his hands for the last's onslaught, his claws extending to the full length as he caught the Sabbot in midstride, driving his claws deep within the Sabbot's neck, dropping his to his knees. The first slowly stood to his feet with a groaning chuckle. Snarling ficiously, Johnny ducked a punch, circling low to catch the Sabbot with a sweep, knocking him flat on his back. Johnny mounted the stunned Sabbot, his claws inches from the man's neck, " You give, or do I rip your fucking head off?" Johnny raised a humored brow questioningly at the bloodied Shovelhead. The man gurgled," Yes, no get the fuck off me.." and struggled to rise. Johnny held his ground, glancing up to make sure the two others were not coming at him. "Fine, better get some friends..I'll be leaving town soon," he said standing slowly, kicking the Sabbot squarely in the mouth.

He smiled at himself, watching the two Sabbot lay on the ground. He turned his back slowly and started walking into the alley, his hand under his jacket. He heard the two men stand, grunting to each other, then footfalls coming behind him. He twirled ducking low to one knee, his hand pulling a pistol out in unison as he fired three shots, the first two striking the first man in both knees, the third in the knee of the farther man. Johnny stood slowly tsking. " German made..can't beat it," he said mockly to the first Sabbot as he held his knees. He chuckled lightly looking at the first man, and he swore like a cheated whore. The second man stood slowy, but was flatted as Johnny leaped into the air and spin, his heel digging into the man's temple. He landed silently, crouching low to the ground. "Korean made..you should learn."

Laughter sounded off the buildings as Johnny ran down the alley, not wanting to face anymore that might have heard the shots.

"Won't be that easy in Dallas," he said allowed, heading deep within the woods to find Lyness. " The Brujah are not Sabbot..they are smarter..and trained a bit better than the ones in Mexico...better to avoid, and live with the clan a while longer."
