The Hunt Is On

From: Dee

Damienne nodded a silent thanks to Millie then watched her disappear back into the shadows whence she came. Whether the curious Malk stayed to watch the upcoming proceedings or take a cautious exit from the area made no difference to Dee. Either way, Brujah justice would be served and it might not hurt to have a spy as either a witness or a warning for the future.

For the moment, however, Jerry was waiting impatiently for Millie's findings so Dee turned her steps back toward the lakeside. The music was getting louder as the natives grew restless. Dee quickly filled Jerry in on what Millie had learned then turned her attention to the fraying tapestry of strength and temper.

Quickly, the primogen searched the group for their recently released prisoner. She spotted him ignoring jeers and jibes as he made a quick meal off a blood doll somebody had offered him in a moment of mercy or pity. Dee waited till he finished then watched a moment as he faced more harrassment from his fellows.

"Playtime's over folks," Dee admonished as she laid a hand on the wet but sturdy shoulder of her clanmate. "Come on Puppy, let's go tell everyone why we're all here."

Puppy, as he had now become, shrugged out of her friendly grip with a scowl, though his eyes as he followed Dee did not speak of anger. "I'd sure as hell like to know..." he mumbled, but stayed close to his primogen.

Eyes followed the pair as they made their way among their fellows back to where Jerry stood with fury on his face. "Now!" Dee spoke abruptly, her voice cracking like a whip through the gossip, music and sporadic wrestling matches. "Jerry has something to tell you all, then we have a cople of problems to solve. Listen up!" With that, Dee looked toward the big Brujah chewing sorrow and anger by her side.
