has announced his reluctant resignation from RPG. Real life work impedes on his great works and he must devote his attentions there for a long period of time. Hopefully James will return in the future sometime, but even if he doesn't I can honestly say he's added a great deal to the Forum as a whole and he'll be missed.
Mayhem missed out this week because I forgot to remind him about his article. Anyone care to volunteer as Mayhems harasser? Pay is good.  *giggle*

Games Update - Frostlands Ad&d game is going strong while our Forgotten realms campaign still awaits players, Star Wars elite forces are still running their missions to save the rebellion while Cold wars explores an alternate Star Wars reality, World of Darkness for the Vampires, Werewolves or other mythical beings out there lurk in wait, Reality 17 is looking for more Marvel super hero's so join up, and Harnworlds gritty campaign and Shadows of Harn PBEM are both welcoming experienced players ; There's games here, send email to the Game Masters. They're all in the Event Calendar under Forum Info.
Staff Update - A couple new additions to the staff area, Advance Scout aka Scott is obvious and Rpg Chat Host Sonja. Look in the Management area under Forum Info for more details on these great people.

Mayhem delves into the realm of Shadow Sprite that reviews game systems for those not familiar with Rpg's and looking to get into one that is just your style.   Or even for the Experts out there who want to look over a different system.
TomesKeeper 's area has busted out at the seams, the Ad&d/D&D portion just had to be split up or it was going to go berzerk on us. It is now in two areas called Ad&d/D&D Books, supplements adventures and Ad&d/D&D Utilities, character sheets etc.  It was bound to happen and now it has.  The Tomeskeeper is an amassing monster who refuses to let up and his area grows like the black hordes. I kinda like that. Heh.  :)  For downloads this week he has everything from a Call of Cthulhu character generator, Gem value generator, More Ad&d/D&D utilities, whew, just go look and save me the energy, please.
Forgotten Realms campaign is going to be run by Scott Keyes, see our Event calendar or Member games area. Just making sure everyone saw this, we have Ad&d games, come on out and play.  :)

Weekly Update! - 21/04/98

James is concerned about whether combat is necessary to RPG's,  this week.
Mayhem is lost in cyber world.
TomesKeeper is really enjoying time offline with his wonderful family but still managed to bring us his 10 downloads for the week.  Spell book generator, deck of many things program, fantasy fonts, thieves guild generator and more, oh boy.
Chats have really been busy of late, even if we do have the odd bad apple, and all our chat hosts are kept extremely busy.
Advance Scout will soon be joining RPG, he'll let us know of upcoming roleplaying products and books. Keep your eyes open for his new area arriving soon.   It's looking really great!

Delve of Destiny 2 went great and we were glad to be there for the short time that we were able to. Winners on all the catagories for the tournament were declared last Friday and DoD3 is in the works for the future.
Fantasy Journal has joined our Related links area so ensure you stop by their page.
Things have been hectic around the Forum with myself travelling abroad last week, recovering from DoD and some other projects but hopefully we won't be too jarred by these and will be back on our feet this week.  :)

James has returned to the Rpg vs Video game debate, don't miss it.
TomesKeeper's area has been sub divided again, he now offers a Ad&d/D&D, Harn, Miscellaneous and Other area. He's topped 100 downloads this week so make sure you take a look at what you're missing.
Slowly working on things coming up, getting html ready and smoothing off the hard edges, but we should have some new ad&d games to choose from for the end of the month. Stop by frequently!

The Keeper of the Tomes has brought us a slew of downloads to the File Libraries area, go see and download. Dice rolling programs, character generators, the works!

Correspondence with Columbia games continues, a Harn Master gaming site may be opening up in Rpg if we find a large enough following. For those who've never played the medieval roleplaying game visit the Harn Site.
Marvel Super Heroes unite! If you're a super hero gamer or just love Marvel characters, Matts upcoming game may be what you're looking for. Interested? Let him know.
Mayhem received a retort over his last article and I thought it only prudent to staple it to his last Critiques history.

Weekly Update! - 01/12/98

Kevin has joined the staff and taken on the title; Keeper of the Tomes. He'll be searching for files and gaming tidbits for everyone to be able to download. He has moved into the File Libraries area and Mayhems Critiques have joined James Vitz on the front page.

James Vitz comes through again with another thought provoking article, The Movie Industry's Representation of the RPG Industry. James has even decided to make guest appearances on Tuesday nights at 8pmEST, so if you agree or even disagree with his opinions, stop by and let him know, he loves a good debate.
Word has come from Columbia Games, makers of HarnMaster and they are currently working on HTML with which to join our Rpg area. We'll keep you posted on their progress.

I've added a quick blurb in the Information section about our Newsgroup games that seem to be popping up around the Forum, so if you like posting take a look. Now featured, SAbN, a newsgroup game, in our Schedule area.
Dan Williamson, working hard at his drawing board, has whipped up some amazing art to go in our backgrounds throughout RPG, make sure you see them all!
James Vitz is back with another contraversial article this week so let him know what you think about his writings.
Columbia Games Inc, makers of Harnmaster and the amazing world of, you guessed it Harn, have sent us an e-mail letting us know that they're looking forward to getting more involved with their MSN fans. I can't wait to see what they whip up and I'm sure they'll enjoy their participation with our Forum and members.
Tim Huckleberry of Games Workshop is forecasting a GW Chat weekly sometime in the new year, so keep your eyes pealed if you're into GW products and games.

News Letter Plus - 12/20/97

To help out our new visitors and members that haven't played role playing games on-line, I've added a slew of information in the Information section. What a novel idea! :)
We've recently added a newsletter option to RPG as well, so if you wish to be kept up to date on upcoming events at the spur of the moment and be reminded when rpg features new content feel free to Join.
Mark James, one of our faithful Hosts is going to begin his critique of rpg sites on the web so if you have a URL you'd like him to maul drop him a line. He'll be working out of our File Libraries section, in the near future, where Mark will keep his list of critiqued sites. Pathway to Darkness is currently in Mayhem's spotlight.
There's a new Vampire Chronicle, San Antonio by Night, opened up in the whitewolf.vampire newsgroup so be sure to stop by and join in the intrigue. They also have a website within our Forum for more details on the SAbN Chronicle

New Beginning - 8/1/97

New MSN is starting with a bang and we're all still watching the dust settle. As Assistant Forum Manager for Games and Gaming, Chad Morrett, has taken on the helm of the busy and popular Original Games. He'll be ensuring that all our games in the spot light are updated frequently as well as keeping up with his responsibilities to the Forum as a whole. Three of our popular games from RPG here featured within Original Games are SWEF, DbN, and RaD, so be sure you stop by and check them out. I'll of course still be here for anyone who has any questions or concerns. I'm still searching for Dungeon Masters, Game Masters, and Storytellers, so if you have a game to flaunt let Me know because the players are here waiting to be abused. I mean waiting to play of course :)
